Johnson Village, Colorado - (Pictures From March 2006)
 |
Johnson Village is a small unincorporated area
of Chaffee County located just west of Highway 24 & Highway 285. It is situated two miles south of Buena Vista. Today I briefly
visited to take some pictures around the area, which largely consists a few businesses on the highway. |
 |
The Gunsmoke Truck Stop is open 24-7 and is considered
one of the only real truck stops in the area. Folks, if you're a trucker and need a safe
haven from snowy and treacherous road conditions, this would defintiely be a good place to stop. |
 |
There are a few small residential homes in the area,
including a trailer park to the north and a neighborhood with manufactured-looking homes to the south. |
 |
I was practically facing the sun as I looked west, but
I wanted to get one shot of Mt. Princeton. The Collegiate Peaks Overlook is a fantastic spot to photograph and "take in" the mountain scenery - that's just a short 2-mile drive east of Johnson Village. |
 |
The Coyote Cantina is a great place for breakfast,
lunch or dinner. They're Mexican dinners are pretty good! :) |

This is one older photo taken in March 2004. Mt. Princeton stands proud! |
