Standing On The Mt. Yale Summit - The View of Buena Vista

On Friday May 19, 2006, I hiked
to the summit of Mt. Yale with my buddy Jason Friesema at about 11 a.m.
From the summit, I snapped this shot looking east towards the town of Buena Vista.
From many vantage points in town, Mt. Yale can not be seen because Deer Mountain (the mountain in the foreground)
stands in front of it to the east. |

I zoomed in as much as possible. To view Mt. Yale
from the Arkansas Valley, one can enjoy a great views just north of Buena Vista
on Highway 24 (starting at Chaffee County Road 384) and approximately eight miles south near the town of Nathrop. |
