The Maxwell Park School (also known as the Mt. Princeton School) served
in this building from 1889 to 1933 before the actual building was abandoned.
In 1989, efforts have begun to restore the structure to its original condition.
The old schoolhouse is located at the junction of Rodeo Road and Chaffee
County Road 326, just a few miles southwest of the town of Buena Vista.
