This is the most recent rainbow I spotted in Buena Vista, taken on Saturday afternoon July 19. It was a full rainbow! The left arch appeared to land near the far end of East Main Street at the Arkansas River. The rainbow spanned high up with its right arch landing somewhere near the prison.

I was standing on East Main Street and was too close to the rainbow to capture all of it with my camera. Thus, I patched together two photos.

This rainbow was quite a spectacle, and there were many others besides me marveling at it and taking pictures themselves!

In September 2006, I was driving eastbound on Chaffee County Road 306 when this rainbow spanned across town.

I submitted this rainbow photo to the Chaffee County Times and I got my name in the paper. :)

It was a large rainbow that hung low. Photo taken in the Game Trail Development area, northwest of the town of Buena Vista.
