Sunset Over The Mountains - March 27, 2009
After a snowy Thursday, the skies cleared up about 67% and I was hoping we would have a colorful sunset over
the mountains.
My adventure began when I pulled over on Chaffee County Road 339, a lonely dirt road approximately five miles west of the Buena Vista, CO town center.
I captured a nice sho of Mt. Princeton, don't ya think? :) |
The sun finally set behind the mountains. That deepest "V" is the canyon that leads to
Cottonwood Pass (link: my first visit in 2002).
By the way, I have a web site dedicated to Cottonwood Pass: www.CottonwoodPass.net.

The colors over the mountains did not meet my expectations, but it was still pretty.
Bald Mountain is the large mountain in the forefront on the left. |
A few pink clouds in the sky as I looked toward Mt. Columbia. |
One token photo of myself. The Buffalo Peaks are the two snowy peaks behind me. And look at that beautiful
snow! :) |
